Department Director

Tasks

•Directing and supervising the Institute’s teaching and research activities
•Planning, organising and overseeing high-quality professional activities required for the effective operation of the Institute of Medical Biology, with professional and financial responsibility in accordance with Section 35 of the Organisational and Operational Regulations of the Medical School of the University of Pécs
•Coordinating the teaching of undergraduate students in Hungarian, English and German, and supervising postgraduate education
•Delivering lectures and conducting examinations in Hungarian, English and/or German
•Reviewing and further developing the curricula of courses offered by the Institute of Medical Biology, taking into account the competency requirements of medical education

Expectations

Relevant university degree
PhD degree and habilitation
Ability to deliver lectures and participate effectively in academic discussions in English and/or German
At least 10 years of teaching experience in higher education
Substantial record of scientific research and recognised academic standing at both national and international level
Applicants are expected to present their plans for fulfilling the responsibilities of the position and their vision for implementing these plans
Appointment to the leadership position requires an existing employment relationship with the University of Pécs or the establishment of such an employment relationship
